Reflections

I felt that my project was very successful, not only teaching myself but also teaching the young athletes that attended to work as a team and improve as an individual gymnast, as well. Organizing this small camp for athletes helped build connections in the gymnastics community. In the process, I recognized that I may want to own my own gym one day and possibly become involved with other camps all over the U.S. Doing this camp also helped me gain more knowledge and skills necessary to improve gymnasts and myself as a leader and coach. It was a new experience coming up with new drills and schedules for the gymnasts throughout the week. Parents and athletes found it helpful because it turned their weeek into a fun challenging few days with some fun as well. Overall, I think this was a great project for me and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
